How I Accidentally Married My Stalker

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

When it came to pursuing someone he liked, Ha Shichen clearly had far more experience than I did.
Every single day, he’d stop by the flower shop, order a gorgeous bouquet, and write sweet, intimate notes on the card—like a modern-day love letter.
After work, he’d take me out for dinner.
In his mind, there was no such thing as a “special occasion”—
because as far as he was concerned, as long as it involved me, every single day was special.
Some days it was exquisite fine jewelry.
Other days, decor tailored perfectly to my tastes.
And some days, it was just a cheap little stuffed animal—so soft that once you held it, you couldn’t bear to let go.
He was doing a stellar job.
All I could do was sit there, suffocating under a wave of absolute bliss…
and actually looking forward to holding his hand for the rest of my life.
That day, Ha Shichen was held up by an unexpected meeting.
I was sitting in the flower shop, waiting for him to pick me up.
Before my husband could show up, the crazy male lead decided to make an appearance first.
Lu Tsewei—plastered out of his mind—staggered into the shop and grabbed my shoulders tight:
“Sheng Sheng… I was wrong… I shouldn’t have let grease cloud my eyes… going after a replacement!”
“But… it was only because I liked you so much… and you only ever treated me like a normal friend…”
“You were supposed to marry me, let me smoothly inherit the Lu family, and then we’d live happily ever after… I wasn’t supposed to turn into this!”
“Give me one more chance… please?”
With that, he actually leaned down, trying to kiss me.
Right on cue, Lin Zhao—her baby bump clearly showing—stood at the doorway, tears streaming down her face.
“In the end, you still can’t forget her… So what am I to you?”
I landed a sharp slap straight across his face: SMACK!
“If you actually liked me, why on earth would you go look for a bootleg copy? Are you that fond of counterfeit money?
Or do you just hate my guts and did it on purpose to gross me out? Stop pretending to be some tragic lover!”
【Good lord, why does this guy talk like some strategist from the Three Kingdoms era?】
【Right on the money! Call him Zhuge… Here-He-Is!】
【Exactly! It’s giving ‘Romance Novel: Capital Housing Market Edition’—not only does it not crash, it keeps going up!】
【Run, bro! Someone’s coming over on that side… to pick up the trash!】
Lin Zhao stood frozen in place, seemingly taking it all in.
I shot her a glare and snapped, “What are you standing around for? Calling the cops or waiting for an invitation?”
She hesitated for a few seconds before pulling out her phone.
Right then, a swift gust of wind carried a heavy fist straight through the air.
THUD!
Lu Tsewei clutched his stomach, collapsing onto the floor completely knocked out.
Ha Shichen stood over him, coldly dragging him out of the shop:
“If you ever dare harass my wife again, a beating will be the least of your problems.”
Instinctively, Lin Zhao flinched back, wrapping her arms tightly around her stomach.
As I walked past her, my tone turned icy:
“A guy like Lu Tsewei doesn’t love anyone. He’s just addicted to the high of having women obsess over him.
If you want to keep that baby, you better think carefully for its sake.”
She looked at me with a complicated expression, but said nothing.
I didn’t bother adding another word. If she didn’t want to listen, so be it.
Ha Shichen took my hand as we strolled leisurely down the street under the night sky.
Fairy lights wrapped around the trees lit up the entire city, vibrant and sparkling, making it feel like we were walking through our own private festival of lights.
Curious, I asked, “Why didn’t you drive today?”
He tilted his head, the corner of his lips curving up:
“Didn’t you want to try… a normal date? Walking with the person you love is pretty nice, isn’t it?”
Honestly, I really wanted to… except… my feet hurt.
With just a single look, Ha Shichen understood every single thought in my head.
Without a word, he crouched down low.
I hopped onto his back… with absolute, practiced ease, grinning like a flower in full bloom:
“This time it’s a pedestrian street. Last time was the subway, so next time let’s try the bus, deal?”
Leaning close to his ear, I whispered softly:
“Do you know… when you’ll officially succeed in pursuing me?”
Ha Shichen’s footsteps faltered slightly.
“When?”
“When I get the most perfect wedding ever.”
He immediately caught my drift. The corners of his lips and the edges of his eyes crinkled together, laughter spreading all the way to his gaze.
Without another word, he took a deep breath and noticeably picked up his pace.
Wrapping my arms around his neck, I laughed and asked, “What’s the rush?”
“Getting home… to plan our wedding!”
【You two are way too happy, while I’m… back home herding cattle!】
【Take my red envelope money! Make sure to write it down in my ‘imaginary husband’ ledger!】
【Brought my dinner out to watch the show, ended up… carrying the side male lead and the white moonlight out instead. Fine, fine, I admit I still love this story.】
【If nobody else is gonna say it, I will: ahem… and so the side male lead and the white moonlight lived… shamelessly ever after.】
【Throwing confetti for the grand finale!!!】
I looked up at the night sky, smiling softly, my lips parting to murmur:
“Thanks for coming along for the ride. See you around if fate allows, everyone.”
THE END
