Both Sides of Him Love Me

His Second Personality Returns

Chapter 7: His Second Personality Returns

“Why? Aren’t the rules that nobody’s allowed to touch him? Then pay up!”

I gave a couple of awkward little coughs, trying to ease the suffocating tension.

“Girl, I really didn’t touch him.”

“Liar! I was standing outside the glass doors. I saw everything!”

I felt terribly embarrassed. This girl was seriously stubborn…

She kept grumbling as she followed me out of the restroom. But the moment she caught sight of Huo Xianchi’s tall, cold figure sitting at the dining table, she suddenly sobered up.

Apparently remembering exactly who she was dealing with, she hurried away.

Huo Xianchi didn’t seem suspicious at all about how long I’d been gone.

After lunch, he made me go with him to help clean another house.

It was a secluded villa tucked away in the outskirts of the capital.

By the time the staff and I had loaded the final crate onto the truck, dusk was already settling in. I was preparing to return downtown with them when Huo Xianchi suddenly called me back.

“Secretary Shen, there are still some personal belongings in that locked room over there. Could you go in and bring them out for me?”

He glanced at his watch before continuing.

“These people aren’t headed anywhere near your apartment. Once you’ve finished with that box, I’ll drive you home myself.”

Seeing me hesitate as I looked toward the luggage that was already mostly packed, he gave me a faint smile. There was a trace of loneliness in his eyes.

“Shen Tangyuan, think of it as a little farewell between us. Will you?”

My heart softened.

“All right.”

I took the key and walked deeper into the dark room Huo Xianchi had pointed out.

But the moment I opened the door and saw two enormous cardboard boxes filled with condoms, all I could do was smile bitterly.

Every single one was strawberry-flavored—the second personality’s favorite.

After struggling with the boxes for quite a while, I finally placed the last carton of condoms in the trunk of his car.

I exhaled heavily.

“Mr. Huo, everything’s in the car now.”

The moment I looked up, I collided with Huo Xianchi’s dark, possessive gaze.

There was something almost disturbingly territorial in his eyes.

In the palm of his hand, he lazily toyed with an exquisite anklet made of pure gold.

The corner of his lips curled into a wild, arrogant smile.

“Secretary Shen, are you going to put it on yourself like a good girl, or do you want me to put it on you?”

He leaned closer, his hot breath brushing against my skin.

“Good girl. Do it yourself, hmm?”

My heart sank.

Oh, shit.

That crazy, arrogant second personality of Huo Xianchi’s was back.

All afternoon, until night had completely fallen, he actually didn’t do anything outrageous.

He simply held me tightly and kissed me.

Again and again, without stopping.

It was as though I were some long-awaited piece of candy he’d finally gotten to taste. His tongue lingered, savoring every inch with obsessive patience.

Except…

His skills seemed to have deteriorated considerably this time.

Every now and then, he would awkwardly knock his teeth against mine hard enough to hurt. Or he would simply forget to breathe, leaving his cheeks flushed red from holding his breath.

I couldn’t help laughing.

I gently pushed against his shoulder.

“What’s wrong with you?”

My lips had been kissed until they were slightly parted and swollen, red as though a little rabbit had just stolen a handful of berries. My chest rose and fell as I caught my breath.

Huo Xianchi’s eyes looked like two exquisite crystals veiled in mist, filled with desire as he stared at me.

“What did you just call me?”

The arm around my waist tightened instantly, and his breathing grew heavier.

“I called you ‘brother.’ You were the one who made me call you that back then.”

A strange darkness flickered through Huo Xianchi’s eyes.

For a brief moment, it seemed as though his primary personality was struggling to seize control.

But just as quickly, his eyes cleared again, stubbornness returning to them—the unmistakable stubbornness of his second personality.

“Baby, you’re so good.”

I tried to pull away, but he caught my ankle with perfect accuracy and gave it a sharp tug, pulling me straight between his legs.

Embarrassed, I lightly kicked him.

“Move. You’re filthy. You smell like the perfume of all those models.”

He froze for a moment.

Then, as though afraid I might be angry with him, he immediately let me go.

He rushed over to his bag and quickly pulled out his most recent medical checkup report.

After looking through it, he turned back to me with eyes shining like an eager puppy showing off a job well done.

“See? I’m perfectly clean!”

“You know better than anyone. I only have you. I don’t let anyone else touch me.”

I sighed and shook my head.

“But that primary personality of yours… The newspapers make him sound like quite the playboy.”

“It’s all an act. He hires people to put on a show and fool everyone. He’s clean too!”

I rambled on, explaining the two-hundred-person group chat to him in an attempt to calm his jealousy.

After listening, he tilted his head and asked a devastatingly simple question.

“If he doesn’t love you, then why does he spend all that money putting on these fake romantic acts?”

Thinking about how the primary personality always used his flirtatious reputation to push me away, the second personality ground his teeth in fury.

“What a coward!”

“What a pathetic coward!”

I nodded in agreement.

“Exactly. I hate him too.”

The moment he heard me say that I hated his primary personality, Huo Xianchi suddenly looked as though he might cry.

He was the one cursing his other self, so why was he the one shedding tears?

His anger hadn’t even faded when wounded tears began spilling down his face like a flood.

“Do… do you want me to apologize to you for him?”

He suddenly lifted one of my legs and rested it over his shoulder.

A wild, primal aura surrounded him, something caught between a feral wolf and an overgrown puppy.

He stared straight into my eyes as our bodies pressed close together.

His large hand moved slowly along my waist before suddenly stopping.

Those broad hands, the veins standing out sharply beneath the skin, transformed into shackles around my stomach, holding me firmly in place.

He buried his messy head against my belly and rubbed against it repeatedly.

“Baby, did your waist get a little thicker lately?”

“It feels so round and soft. I like it.”

He lifted his head.

The tip of his nose was red and damp, and he refused to let me look away.

Then, as darkness completely swallowed the room, he lowered his head once more and whispered sweet, suggestive words against my ear.

“Before, I could feel every curve of your body…”

“But what about now?”

“Come on, Baby. This way will feel even better…”

I looked directly into his eyes and calmly nodded.

“That’s right. It feels different now.”

“Because I’m pregnant.”

The shock and devastation on Huo Xianchi’s face were immediate.

“Whose is it?!”

I stood up and calmly straightened my disheveled dress.

At that exact moment, the doorbell rang.

Huo Sui—Huo Xianchi’s older brother—arrived at the villa only a few minutes later.

Thankfully, while he’d been distracted by his tears earlier, I’d managed to send out my location and a distress message.
